Midday at Castalia:  Canada geese, mallards, northern shovelers, redheads, canvasbacks, one common goldeneye, gadwall, American wigeon, black ducks, bufflehead, and a few ring-billed gulls.

  Early afternoon at the intersection of of Rtes. 269 and 2 (northwest corner):  30 mute swans, 200 Canada geese, 4 hooded mergansers, 20 great blue herons, one great egret.

  Slightly later at Medusa:  1000 Canada geese, 300 mallards, two mute swans, two bald eagles, and a flyover great blue heron.
