Got home from work today to find 30-40 Snow Buntings scarfing down seed in our yard, together with about equal numbers of American Tree Sparrows and Horned Larks. There were only a few juncos and a couple of Song Sparrows in the mix. Notably absent were the hordes of Mourning Doves that have been frequenting our yard this winter. Also, there were no European Starlings or House Sparrows.

We also had an immature Northern Harrier flyby.

I put out more seed - keep those buntings coming!
