Yesterday and today, there was a mixed flock of birds working the fruit
left in trees in my yard and my neighbors.
The flock included at least:
30 Cedar Waxwings
30 American Robins
15 House Finches
6 European Starlings
4 Northern Cardinals
2 Blue Jays
There were also about 6 juncos on the ground nearby and at once point some
of the Cedar Waxwings were on the driveway with about 20 House Sparrows in
the puddles.
With the warm temperatures and rain we have had, there was open water off
the east point of the island. Although foggy, I saw the following
waterfowl close by:
1 Ringneck Duck
2 Redheads
30 Canvasback
~50 Scaup
~50 Common Goldeneye
~10 Mallards
