To my surprize today, I had a Purple Finch visit my feeder at Beaver Creek
State Park in Columbiana County near East Liverpool. Immediately I noticed
the matting around it's left eye. I knew from reading something a few
years back that it may have conjuctivitis. After researching it on line, I
concluded this was right. I don't think the poor thing could even see out
of it. It appeared to be feeding just fine and very active. Attached is
close up picture of it.
