The wild turkey flock has grown to 44. This morning they are
scattered over about an acre, scratching under
the various feeders.

Monday for close to half an hour, three toms, circled together, two
with tails fully open, just touching, slowly turning. In the bright
sunlight they were a rainbow of brilliant colours. Today, under leaden
skies they are just huge black shapes again.

Otherwise, 3 song sparrows, a few white throated sparrows, 30 plus
tree sparrows, 30 plus juncos.
Two pileated woodpeckers have been showing up regularly to get nuts
and seed scattered on the tree stumps.

Missing, the lone red breasted nuthatch that was a daily visitor
throughout the winter.
