SPECIES IN ALL CAPITAL LETTERS ARE REVIEW-LIST SPECIES. Details of
these sightings are desired by The Ohio Bird Records Committee. Careful

ROSS'S GOOSE: Single birds were seen on the 9th along Howard Rd, Lucas
County and on the 10th at the fish hatchery in Hebron, Licking County.

CACKLING GOOSE: On the 9th, one was along Krause Rd just west of Ottawa
NWR. Tom Kemp found six at Portage Quarry on the west side of Rt. 25
just south of Bowling Green.

Long-tailed Duck: Craig Holt spotted four in Lake Shore Park in
Ashtabula on the 8th.

Red-throated Loon: Discovered on the 9th at Caesar's Creek State Park,
it was still present on the 14th.

Eared Grebe: Phil Chaon found one near the Westerly Wastewater
Treatment Facility, Cleveland, on the 11th.

Golden Eagle: Always a trouper, one showed up at The Wilds, Muskingum
County, for Raptor Field Day on the 9th.

Thayer's Gull: Phil Chaon had one at E. 72nd Street, Cleveland, on the
10th. On the 11th, he found them along the Cleveland lakefront at
Cleveland Public Power (Whale Building), E. 9th Street, and Westerly
Wastewater Treatment Facility near Edgewater Park.

Iceland Gull: Craig Holt found one at Conneaut on the 8th. On the 11th,
Phil Chaon found them along the Cleveland lakefront at Cleveland Public
Power (Whale Building), and E. 9th Street.

Northern Shrike: John Pogacnik saw one along the Magee Marsh State Park
causeway on the 9th.

HARRIS'S SPARROW: The Bobolink RBA (330-763-5119) reports that one is
being seen at a private residence at 31412 TR 227 near New Bedford,
Coshocton County. Call the hotline for details.

Brewer's Blackbird: One visited a private residence in Westerville on
the 12th.

Common Redpoll: Reported this week from private feeders in Cuyahoga,
Geauga, and Lake counties. Ethan Kistler's map at Rarebird.org shows 43
counties with redpoll sightings.

Evening Grosbeak: The Bobolink RBA (330-763-5119) reports that four are
being seen at a private residence in Mohican State Forest near the
firetower.
