We were walking around reservoir. I was following a flock of redwings with
my binoculars when I noticed a bald eagle perched in a large oak on the east
side of reservoir. We continued our walk around the reservoir approaching
the eagle. Linda said oh it's about to take off and it did. We thought at
first maybe we scared it, but that wasn't the case. It flew right over our
heads low to ground and caught a fish right in front of us. It then flew to
tree near the nest in forest on south side of reservoir. We did not see a
bird on the nest. It was a one of a kind experience!
