Greetings,

We've spent several hours birding the back roads of Wakeman this
morning accompanied by our veteran birder, Momlady. Although we
didn't find any Snow Buntings, we did
find a Barred Owl on Green Road in the same location spotted on the
26th of February. It was roosting in the lower portion of the pine
trees near the pond.
Also on Green Road:
Red tailed hawks hunting, just North of the owl, over the field.
Red Winged blackbirds at the intersection of Green and Ward.
Horned larks also on Green and Ward Rds

Returning to Gore Orphanage Road we observed the following feeder
birds:
Red polls - 6
Red Bellied Woodpecker - 2
RB Nuthatches - 2
Titmice - 2
Carolina Wren - 1
Starlings - 3
Blue Jays - 2
Robins - 2
Junco's (many)
Cardinals - (many)
Goldfinches - (scads)
White crowned sparrows (many)
House Finches - (many)

Happy Birding
Dorothy & Doug
