Today I went birding on my lunch break. I saw two sharp-shinned hawks,
numerous American robins, 4 mallards, and 2 Canada geese all within a
stone's throw of my office in Dublin.

On the way home from work I stopped at Antrim Park. The river was so
high, I couldn't go back in the woods so I didn't see many woodland birds
except Carolina chickadees and white-breasted nuthatches. In and around
the lake I saw ring-billed gulls, American coots, mallards, Canada geese,
hooded mergansers, American robins, white-throated sparrows, house
sparrows, European starlings, American crows, and my first red-winged
blackbirds of the season.
