Went out for a nice walk along an old railroad bed; quiet but a nice day to be out. This section of trail was off of old 44 in Lake County. Couple of redwings singing. On the way home, drove to Big Creek Park in Geauga to check the status of the redpolls & pine siskins. A gentleman had been there 2 hrs waiting for the redpolls. 15 minutes later, one showed up. That was around 1PM. The following was seen:
Redpoll- 1
Pine Siskins- 2
Bluebirds-2
Around our backyard in Chardon we had our 1st cowbird show up. We still have 3 Redpolls coming to our feeder as well as the redbreasted nuthatch.

Sally Isacco, Chardon
