A Northern Shrike remains at Sandy Ridge MP in Lorain County.  It was observed at about 3:15pm today directly out over the marsh from the viewing mound.  Also seen at Sandy Ridge:

Great Horned Owl (1 on nest)
Bald Eagle (1 on nest)
Northern Harrier (1)
Gadwall (3)
Bufflehead (3)
Mallard
Black Duck
Canada Goose
American Robin
Red-winged Blackbird

Earlier in the afternoon, Liz and I stopped at Clague Park in Westlake and watched two pair of Hooded Mergansers for quite a while.  The two males were displaying frequently and both seemed to be favoring one of the females.  Also seen were two pair of American Wigeon at different stages of their spring dress.
