The ice cover at Conneaut harbor and Ashtabula Lake Shore Park is still
significant, but there are some larger areas of open water starting to
appear.
A good variety of birds at each location, but not any huge numbers. R.B.
Mergansers and R.N. Ducks being the most abundant.

Mallard
Scaup
Ring-Necked Duck
Red-Br. Merganser
Hooded Merganser
Bufflehead
Am. Wigeon
Bald Eagle - 1 adult in Ashtabula, 1 juv. in Conneaut

Conneaut only:
Tundra Swan - 1
Gadwall
N. Pintail
Canvasback
Ruddy Duck
Common Merganser
Am. Coot

Ashtabula only:
Redhead
C. Goldeneye
Long-Tailed Duck - 1
