Fellow birders - Update from the Bobolink area (Wayne, Holmes, Ashland, Stark, Tusc,, etc).
Pleasant Hill Lake this morning: adult Lesser Black-backed Gull; 2 Red-necked Grebes, 1 Eared Grebe; 70 Ruddy Ducks; all mergs, lots of Horned Grebes, 20 Common Loons
Clear Fork Reservoir: 1 Red-throated Loon
Berlin Reservoir (Rt 224 bridge): pair of Long-tailed Ducks; Iceland Gull (probable first record for the Bobolink area)

Ben Morrison and Kent Miller had the Berlin Res. birds and Robert Hershberger and Levi Yoder the Pleasant Hill birds.

The 4 White Pelicans that were at Funk and Killbuck Wildlilfe Area last weekend have not been re-located as far as I know. We do have photos.

On Sunday afternoon there were 248 Tundra Swans at Funk Bottoms W. A. (new high count for me in our area). The waterfowl numbers at Funk and Killbuck Marsh are quite amazing - birds everywhere, and moving despite the cold north wind.

Tuesday may be a day to watch for migrant birds, including hawks, since the wind is supposed to switch south - though the strong chance of rain and low temps are certainly negatives, but it's been almost a month of bad conditions for raptor migration.
