Hi All,
Today at 3:30 PM an Iceland Gull (immature/1st year) was seen from the
S.R. 224 bridge at the Portage/ Mahoning County line. The bird was about 1/4
mile to the north on the ice. There are very few Ohio records of this gull away
from Lake Erie.
Also, a pair of long-tailed ducks were at the same location. There are
numerous gulls and ducks at this location. Fortunately the bridge/causway is
very wide for parking and viewing.
