This morning started out with the return of two Pileated Woodpeckers.
They hadn't been seen since the last high wind storm wrecked havoc on
many tree tops so it was a joy to see them feeding once again at
their favorite tree. I looked out the front window just in time to
see three wild turkeys flying across the road. The rest of the day
unfolded with visits from downy, hairy and red bellied woodpeckers to
round out the woodpecker sightings. In addition, we are delighted to
still have RB nuthatches visiting the feeders.
Happy Birding
Dorothy
