The weather is so bad along the lake tonight that I saw gulls walking
across lake road
to the south side of the street. My neighborhood had gulls standing
in the streets too.
I have never seen this before. Even when the wind was howling and the
temperature was
zero degrees a few weeks ago the gulls were casually floating in the
lake or riding wildly on the wind.

Below large trees the piles of ice that were shaking lose from the
trees looked like thick piles of broken glass
after a tornado or car crash. Pieces of the ice were being dashed
against my car as I drove down Lake Road.
I just bought the car last night and I was thinking I should have
bought the prepaid paintless dent repair service.
Hail storms are not as bad as this freak storm of slush and shards of
fractured ice.
