Hi Ohio Birders'

Tammie and I birded East Fork this morning. There were many ducks on the lake this morning. From the beach we saw a very large group of ducks by the dam, but couldn't ID them. We drove to the dam and sure enough that flock of ducks were nowhere to be found. Two Bald Eagles were in area of the lake around the campground beach. We actually saw another Bald Eagle on the main part of the lake so there may have been three. The birds at the campground section of the lake were a juvenile and an adult. The bird on the main part of the lake was a juvenile. I went the the campground beach on my lunch break yesterday and a juv. and adult Bald Eagle were there. The interesting thing is that I watched the adult take flight from a tree and the young bird hit it from above. The two birds chased each other then the juv. went out and sat on the ice on the lake. Here are the birds we saw today:
Canada Goose 10
Gadwall 2
American Black Duck 1
Mallard 35
Northern Pintail 100
