Dear All,

On Monday, April 14, Ann Thompson, editor of the premier scholarly
edition of Shakespeare's works, will be visiting us from London thanks
to Altman funding. Her visit is jointly sponsored by English and
History. Professor Thompson will present two talks.

The second event, from 4-5pm, is a university-wide talk on
Shakespeare's Globe, "Then and Now," in 115 Shideler Hall. Please
inform your students.

A smaller event, from 12pm-1pm, also coincides with the final meeting
of the Early Modern Studies group this spring. Professor Thompson will
talk about her recent editing of Hamlet, "Why Three Texts of Hamlet?"

Please join us for this significant event.

The topic is intended to be broad, however, to include any interested
parties.
