I made several stops at places nearby this morning and early afternoon.
The highlights were a yellow-bellied sapsucker at Metzger Park in
Westerville, golden-crowned kinglets at Sharon Woods, a cerulean wabler at
Heritage Park in Westerville, and a spotted sandpiper just above Hoover
Dam on the west bank.
At Metzger Park, Heritage Park, and Hoover Dam, American Robins were
carrying nesting material.
At Sharon Woods I saw the first great blue heron I've seen there since
October. Also in Sharon Woods there was a lone ring-necked duck on
Schrock Lake.
Below Hoover Dam there were numerous swallows flying over the soccer
field. They were flying too fast for me to get an id but I think they
were rough-winged swallows. There were also three or four tree swallows
flying around the spillway.
There were yellow-rumped warblers at Heritage Park and below Hoover Dam.
