Saw a little red spot peeking around our little ironwood tree right outside kitchen window last evening during supper; (You can imagine, and my wife can verify, I'm not a very good conversationalist at suppertime with that window thing there!) The red seemed 'different' so I waited it out. Yes! A yellow-bellied sapsucker, yardbird #103! The tree was only about 4 inches in diameter and it stayed there for about 10 minutes.
