      While at a jobsite in Ashtabula today; I was able to visit Conneaut harbor and the sandspit area during lunch; from 11:30 till noon. The water level was unbelievably high! Very little land exposed! 31 species of birds were recorded while I was there. 
      Here are some of the highlights:
 
Caspian Tern    110+   Wow!!!
Great Black-backed Gull    30+
Bufflehead    250+
Red-breasted Merganser    850+
Northern Pintail    1 pair
Bonaparte's Gull    130+
Double-crested Cormorant    100+
Horned Grebe    60+
American Coot    40+
Pied-billed Grebe    1
Bald Eagle    2
Belted Kingfisher    1 pair

                  Damascus, Mahoning County
