Yesterday I had my first Wood Thrush and Ovenbird singing in the woods
behind my house. Saw my first Barn Swallow on the way home where there are
always large numbers perched by two large barns later in the year.

Today, the first Tiger Swallowtail was flying with all the Orangetips.

A pair of Red-bellied Woodpeckers is digging a nest hole in an aspen tree
about 20 feet behind the garage. Looking forward to watching their progress,
and maybe..... I will try my digiscoping efforts again.....

Chimney Swifts are back in Athens.....right on schedule.
