First heard, then spotted a wood thrush in the cedars at the back of my yard
around 7 this morning. That brings my yard list to 54, not bad for a small
urban yard.

Also, the service berry tree that Jim McCormac recommended to attract birds,
and which I planted last summer, is in full bloom. Even if it didn't
attract birds, this is one beautiful bush! I recommend it to anyone. I'm
looking to get some more.
