The Audubon walk at the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes and the Lower
Shaker Lake (Shaker Heights, old Delorme 41, quadrant A6) had almost 30
people yesterday. A beautiful day. Birds were a little sparse, but we
had an interesting variety of species and good looks at the birds that
were there. The most interesting and surprising sighting was a
Gray-Cheeked Thrush, which was clearly seen by a number of observers. We
also saw one or two Cape May Warblers, a couple of Northern Parula, and
a Red-Breasted Nuthatch. No Waterthrush of either variety, and no
shorebirds yet. My list (similar but not identical to the "official"
list) follows.
