long-eared owls appear to be on the move in lakefront areas. this morning (04/01/2008) i found three (3) long-eared owls at headlands beach state park and the area just east of the fisherman's path and there was a long-eared owl at a private residence in willoughby on sunday, march 30. one of the long-eared owls at headlands this morning was in shrubbery right along the breakwall and was very skittish.
