On Friday evening, 5/23/08, my husband and I were driving through the
retail jungle in Montrose (Fairlawn), OH around 9:30 p.m. when I
heard a Common Nighthawk calling. We pulled over, rolled down the
windows, and heard it call one more time. I have no idea if there
were more birds around, as we didn't wait long. With hundreds of good
bug-attracting giant parking lot lights all around, this may be a
good spot for nighthawks all summer.
