Greetings,
This morning we were treated with a pair of pileated woodpeckers in
the front yard doing a mysterious dance up and down the bottom
portion of a maple tree. They continued this "dance" for about 10
minutes before they took off out of sight. Interesting, they gave no
indication that they were feeding as they spiraled up and down the
trunk !
