A clay-colored sparrow was persistently singing this morning (5/16) on the Beaver Lodge trail in Quail Hollow State Park in Hartville, Ohio, Stark county. It was 50 yards east of where a power line crosses the trail. You can actually hear the bird singing from the main entrance road to the south, just past where a gated driveway takes off south from the entrance road to a large white house. Warblers were out as well as the rain let up with 16 species including canada, wilson's, hooded, blue-winged, parula, tennessee, & blackburnian.
