During some field training for the OBBA survey crew this morning at Clear
Creek Metropark (Hocking County), we had all three "Oporornis" warblers
along the main valley road. Today was the 2nd day in a row that we had a
MOURNING WARBLER singing in the same thicket (north side of road) near a
pull off just after you pass the parking area for the Mathias Log Cabin.
Look for a dirt pull-off with a wooden fence. [If my memory serves me
correctly, this is the same thicket where we had a singing Mourning Warbler
on a Big Day last year.]

We had fantastic looks at a CONNECTICUT WARBLER that was singing
consistently from near the creek in an area containing lots of horsetail
plants between "Written Rock" and the entrance to the "Valley View Picnic
Area" in the west end of Clear Creek MP. Google Clear Creek MP to get a
downloadable map of the park.

KENTUCKY WARBLERS were singing near the Valley View shelterhouse and at
several other spots along the valley road.

Yesterday, we had an ALDER FLYCATCHER singing on the south side of the road
directly across from the Mathias Log Cabin parking area.

Our two day warbler total for the park stands at 23 species.
