I had planned on a dreary morning working in my office but my daughter Tara rescued me and we met up at Blacklick for some birding. Even though we didn't  get started until after 9 it was a good morning.We quit by 11:30. We  saw the usual suspects & the following;

13 species of warblers;Tennessee,No. Parula, Chestnut sided, Magnolia, Black throated blue, Black throated green, Yellow rumped, Blackburnian, Bay breasted, Black & white, Redstart, Ovenbird & Kentucky.

Vireos - White eyed and Red eyed(everywhere!)

Thrushes - Grey cheeked, Veery, Hermit, Swainson's & Wood

Flycatchers - Great crested, Least, Acadian, Pewee, Phoebe

Scarlet Tanager & Rose Breasted grosbeaks & many Ruby throated hummingbirds

We watched a hummer build a nest & found 2 cardinal nests; one appeared to be incubating eggs and the others were almost ready to fledge.

Not too bad for 2 & 1/2 hours. I am looking forward to hearing from others who were out in the field on what appears to be a great birding day.
