The pair of Wilson's phalaropes were at the same little wetland along Calla Rd. in Beaver Twp., Mahoning Co. this afternoon. I heard they were not seen in the early morning though. They must have slept somewhere else nearby. Also at that spot were lesser yellowlegs, solitary sandpiper, and least sandpipers. Shorebirds at Mill Creek WS (at scope range) included semipalmated plovers, least sandpipers, 2 pectoral sandpipers, and 25 dunlin. Also at MCWS were 3 great egrets, pileated woodpecker, and willow flycatcher. I went up to Orwell Marsh in Ashtabula Co. Best birds there were wood ducks, 3 blue-winged teal, green-winged teal, great egret, green herons, semipalmated plovers, lesser yellowlegs, least sandpipers, dunlins, ruby-throated hummingbird, 3 flycatcher species, yellow-throated vireos, lots of swallows including many banks, and rose-breasted grosbeak. Later, Craig
