I ventured out to Taylorsville Metropark (north of Dayton on US 40 just
east of I-75) to try and find the Connecticut Warbler. At about 9 am, the
male sang 3 or 4 times, but I failed to locate him. The lark sparrows
were still in the same spot at previously posted (gravel road turnoff to
the right). Other exciting birds (at least to me) seen and/or heard
were: lots of indigo buntings and scarlet tanagers, yellow warbler,
blackburnian warbler, blue headed, red-eyed and yellow-throated vireos and
acadian flycatcher (two males singing).
