Yesterday, May 21st, had a great time at Magee Marsh and Oak Openings
in that order and was very fortunate to meet and chat with Mary
Warren for few minutes before she had to host two more groups of
schoolkids.

The weather improved just minutes after arriving and saw some new
species for my life list as well as a few I had seen previously:

Highlights included:
Warblers:

Blue-winged
Cape May
Chestnut-sided (2)
Canada (2)
Nashville
Wilson's (3)
Palm
Yellow-rumped
Blackpoll
Nashville
Yellow ( saw one of their nests complete with 4 eggs )
Prothonotary
American Redstart
Northern Waterthrush
Common Yellowthroat ( 4)

Miscellany:
Eastern Screech Owl
Baltimore Orioles ( m&f at the nature center feeders )

Oak Openings
Lark Sparrow
Scarlet Tanager
Cerulean Warbler ( calling across road from Nature Center )
