Two Red-Headed Woodpeckers were active in the oak trees at Bill Stanton
Community Park in Madison (Lake County) Friday afternoon. They were in the
large oaks between the gravel parking lot that is right along the lake and
the pavilion. I have never seen rhw in this part of the state before.
Bill Stanton Park is located on Chapel Rd in Madison, about 1 mile west of
Green Rd. (Green intersects Rt 20 at the Walmart) Chapel is north of Rt.
20 and is parallel to it thru Madison Township.
