According to the maps, no. Go to www.whatbird.com and key it out. Ummm. my
fist question if that doesn't work is was it sort of yellow? with a black
neck? and about the size of a large warbler with an oriole beak? Sort of
like this:

then it is probably a 1 yr Orchard Oriole.

Hope this helps

Subject: [Ohio-birds] Bullocks Oriole?

I found this bird at the house where we were working on south of Dayton OH
yesterday. It appeared to be stunned after flying into a glass door. We
picked it up and took it round the back where after about 5 minutes it
recovered enough to fly to a nearby tree. We checked on it later but
assumed it had flown elsewhere as we could not locate it in the tree.

I could not find a picture of this bird in my bird guide but internet
research appears to make it a female Bullocks Oriole. Can anyone confirm?

Is this a common bird in OH?

Yours in birding
Dave Langlois
