3 May Summit Lake: 16 bank swallows (1-2 just about everywhere all weekend); Turkeyfoot Lake: black-throated blue warbler; W Wilbeth Rd: Am wigeon, bufflehead (possibly injured), pied-billed grebes on territory, 26 great blue heron nests (one on the metal electrical-line tower), Am redstart, ovenbird. The towpath is not yet improved but is now open from Manchester Rd to Waterloo Rd which should be particularly interesting in the winter.

4 May Foster Park, Newton Twp: red-shouldered hawk nest, northern rough-winged swallows (two pairs nesting under semi trailers); Mill Rd, Lake Milton: ospreys, red-shouldered hawk, veeries, blue-winged warblers, white-crowned sparrow; Wingfoot Lake: common loon, horned grebe (deceased, but not too decomposed), herring gulls. The water level at Wingfoot Lake is lower than anywhere else right now but no interesting shorebirds were seen.

Peace,
Gregory Bennett
