I thought it might be helpful to clarify that Squire Valleevue Farm is technically for the use of CWRU faculty, staff, students, alums, and "guests." No one is going to "card" you, but you might want to know that it's not open to the public in the way one of the Metroparks would be.

The Farm is a teaching and research facility that is also used for recreational purposes. It covers 389 acres of varied habitat in eastern Cuyahoga County just west of the Chagrin River. The Director, Dr. Ana Locci, manages a meadow specifically for Bobolinks and Meadowlarks, and the hemlock ravine has two pairs of nesting Juncos.

If you'd like to read more about the Farm, you can find a wealth on information on the Case web site at
http://studentaffairs.case.edu/farm/. Check out the conservation and research links.

I'm assisting Dick Rickard with the OBBA for that part of his block (41A7NE), and I'd appreciate hearing about any interesting sightings you may have. Also, if anyone is interested in joining me out there sometime, please email me privately and I'll welcome your company and observation skills.
