This really is my final posting on this topic. To all those who have
written to express their concern that the loon was not being properly cared for &
giving me advice on where to take the bird... the confusion is partly my
fault. I was amiss in stating the bird was going to SANDERS NATURE CENTER. It is
a nature center but it is also a Rehabilitation Center...a very good one
where birds are given excellent care & seen by an excellent vet when needed, but
was not needed in this case. So please be assured, this entire procedure
was done responsibly.
