Greetings... Steve Pelikan and I came across a pair of Bell's Vireos
along a bike trail at the Ellis Lake Wetlands in West Chester, Butler
County, Sunday morning. The birds were in a bush honeysuckle-locust
climax forest, along a ditch and cement culvert riparian corridor.
It's a specialized habitat in our area, usually created by
Caterpillars.

There was also a second-year male Blue Grosbeak singing and flying
back and forth along the same tree line.

Take care,
---Mike Busam
Butler County, OH
