Mike and all--
        I just talked with someone on the scene. The rail--there actually seem
to be two, according to some observers--is still there, and continues
vocalizing for its admirers.
        Some observers seem to be ignoring the "No Trespassing" signs, and
walking off the public pavement to look for the bird. Please don't do
this. This much should be obvious: one of the reasons this bird is here
is that the habitat has not been disturbed, and landowners who protect
habitat are especially deserving of our utmost respect.
