The recent thread on playing tapes has been interesting, although not
really related to the purposes of this mailing list. In case you've
forgotten, we're here to talk specifically about Ohio aspects of
birding, and not about birds or birding in general. See
http://www.ohiobirds.org/publications/emaillist.php#guidelines for the
details. Further discussion of this topic belongs on the forum, or on
BirdChat.

The guidelines are pretty general, and could be stretched to include
almost anything if you work at it. For instance, you could post a
message about whether Obama, Clinton or McCain would be better for Ohio
birds. NO!!! - don't even THINK about it!!!

Please treat this as a gentle reminder from your (usually) friendly
listowner.

One specific note - replies to this message do NOT belong on this list -
please reply privately, and not to the thousand-plus members of this list.
