 Hi all,
?? Just a quick FYI. Between thundershowers today (~8 to 8:30 pm Tuesday), myself and several others were treated to a wonderful "listen" to what seemed to be at least two Black Rails at Charlies Pond in Pickaway County (no tape needed!). I would encourage birders to continue to try for these birds, while considering all of the other postings that have surrounded their appearance. If we all use common sense to minimize our impact on them- maybe they will attempt to breed here? Just don't disturb the rails - with your vehicles, tapes, and selves; and I think they will get along just fine. That's my two cents. Now get out there!
