Hello world, 



     I've been a bit out of touch lately, down in Highland county right now, and there isn't much in ways to connect online. I've been working for the OBBA II as a field tech, countin' the birds. Staying at Rocky Fork State Park and hitting points in the surrounding area I've found a few birds of interest. Below is a list of the last two days;




N. Bobwhite - in many blocks here in Highland this co. is real stronghold for these cute, round little birds

Blue Grosbeak - I had two Singing along Rt. 50 just north of Rocky Fork lake in a field with juniper trees GPS N. 39.11994, W.-83.37069

Prairie Warbler - Somewhat common in appropriate habitat i had a good number in the above location

Dickcissel - I had them in a couple scrubby fields down here one was at the corner of Rt. 41 and Lower Twin Road.

Cerulean Warbler - a couple right in my campground as well as EAWP, ACFL, WOTH, EAPH, WEVI, SCTA, LOWA and others. 

Kentucky Warbler - many in appropriate habitat.

Blue-winged Warbler - pretty silent right now but I had one this morning, I think they may blend in with the plague of 17 year cicadas

YB Chat - many in appropriate scrubby habitat.

Henslow's Sparrow - many opposing males in hayfields thruought the area

Grasshopper Sparrows - in any overgrown field it seems.




        I will post if I find anything unexpected, but until then maybe you'll see me along the roadside with my ear to the sky.
