About 9:15 this morning the Cooper's Hawk nestlings were sitting up in their
nest with both of their parents there. It looks like they're getting ready
to fledge any day now or maybe even today. If anyone is interest in coming
up to see them, I will be there from about 10 minutes after the time of this
posting for a couple of hours to point them out to you. They are in the
back of the park in the middle. The nest is in the woods but can be seen
from the loop trail.
Other fledglings seen in Lazelle Woods were Carolina Chickadee, Tufted
Titmouse, Eastern Phoebe, and American Robins.
