at about 8: a.m. today (07/05/2008) i found a willet on the state nature preserve beach at headlands beach state park.  i left the bird after about 5 minutes of observation.  a white-throated sparrow was again heard along zimmerman trail and three (3) days ago, presumably another white-throated sparrow, was heard in the woods of the state nature preserve.  this bird has been heard off and on the entire summer.
