With many areas of mud flats made by flooded fields after last weekend's 4 inches of rain, I found only one with any shore birds other than killdeer.

At Hillgrove Woodington Rd. and St. Rt. 118: 3 greater yellowlegs and 3 lesser yellowlegs and at least 50 killdeer

At least 5 other fields had between 30 and 50 killdeer.

near Converse Road in western Darke Co. I saw a covey of quail and several young field sparrows, grackles and robins getting grit from a farm lane that was between 2 fields with native grasses, etc.
