Readers of this list may be aware that the AOU is meeting this week in
Portland, OR. Those of you who, like me, find the thought of traveling
discouraging this summer may have some interest in a
blog<http://redesign.birds.cornell.edu.>sponsored by the Cornell Lab
of Ornithology that attempts to seek out
particularly interesting presentations and present them in a nutshell. The
blog is written by Lab science writer Hugh Powell. I think Ohio birders may
appreciate his combination of scientific acumen and wry wit, both of which
he gets from his father.
