Today at Berlin Res: wood ducks, d-c cormorants, 25 great blue herons, 15 great egrets, osprey, semipalmated plover, 32 lesser yellowlegs, 2 solitary sandpipers, 15 semipalmated sandpipers, 35 least sandpipers, Baird's sandpiper, 15 pectoral sandpipers, stilt sandpiper, short-billed dowitcher, 400+ ring-billed gulls, n. rough-winged swallows, and.......a cockatiel.  It was loud and very much free-flying.  I saw a budgie parakeet one day this summer about a mile down our road; that sucker was vocal and active too.  Unfortunately I haven't seen an African gray parrot near Boardman that had a $500 reward offered for its recapture.  Later, Craig
