My son and I went to the Great Miami River across from Carillon Park
this evening. There is a large mud flat developing at this site. We saw:

Killdeer (about 24)

Semipalmated Plover (1)

Semipalmated Sandpiper (2)

Least Sandpiper (1)

Western Sandpiper (6)

White-rumped Sandpiper (1)

Pectoral Sandpiper (1)

Carillon Park is located along the Great Miami River on the south side
of Dayton. The west side of the river is recommended in the evening to
get the best light for viewing this area.

We first stopped at Englewood Park and had the same species as Ed and
Bev.
