I was watching the godwit and Va. Rail and other shorebirds this morning at
GRMP and when I left there I noticed someone had left their scope on the
boardwalk. Oh my... I got the ranger to put it in his park truck and if
you can 'ID the scope and tripod' I bet you can get it back. They can be
reached at 614-216-8859.
The ranger said the Honda Wetland (south) entrance would be closed from
7-11amET Sunday morning Aug. 24.

Subject: [Ohio-birds] Marbled godwit at Glacier Ridge MP
Folks who are interested in seeing the marbled godwit reported by Bob
Baran--thanks to Bob--at Glacier Ridge should know that all of tomorrow
morning till about noon this area will be hosting a half-marathon run;
while it probably won't involve the boardwalk, it will block it off, and
there will be lots of spectators. There's plenty of place for the godwit
to back off from all the spectacle, so if you can't get out to see it
this afternoon, chances are good it'll be worth looking for tomorrow
afternoon. Just avoid the area tomorrow morning. Map etc at
